You'll explore snowy mountains, crumbling temple ruins, and breathtaking waterfalls. This software is a role-playing game (RPG) that gives you the freedom to control the game. There are vast lands that your character can discover.

Skyrim has simplified the controls to fit a touchscreen. Most options are on-screen and adapt to whatever your character is doing. If there is a weapon nearby, all you need to do is simply tap the button to pick it up. Some tasks are automated to avoid a mass of buttons taking up the screen. You can also select a range of your favorite spells, weapons, and attack moves which you then tap to use. This makes the layout easier, although the controls are still awkward. On a console, the analog triggers select most of the options and feel more natural in a gamer’s hand. Using a touchscreen would be strange for any avid gamer, but it is easy enough to grasp.

The expansive adventures and beautiful graphics come at a price, though. The game drains the battery like a vampire and can make other programs on your iPhone run slower when Skyrim is running in the background. The overwhelming nature of the game also seems a lot harder to navigate on a small screen. Some players may find the vast world too big to fully explore on their iPhone.
